Getting to the Cowan Center
The Cowan Center is located on the campus of The University of Texas at Tyler, approximately 90 miles from Dallas and Shreveport. In Tyler’s southeast corner, the campus is easy to find. Just exit Loop 323 onto University Boulevard (Spur 248), then head east on University Boulevard until you get to Old Omen Road (approximately two miles). Take a left onto Old Omen Road and you will see the main entrance to the campus on your left. If you are going to valet park, proceed to the next entrance into the university. To find the Cowan Center on your GPS, enter 3900 University Boulevard, Tyler, Texas.
Parking: Remember, we are a full-time university. The campus has evening classes during the week. Therefore, parking may be difficult near curtain time. Please plan to arrive 30-45 minutes prior to each event to ensure that you are in your seat before the curtain rises.
